Parent Education is Essential!
Intervention sessions do include parents, caregivers, teachers and/or siblings. This offers the opportunity to help identify and understand sensory and behavioral cues, leading to more effective support of a child's development and self awareness. A seamless and consistent approach to intervention builds the family's capacity to understand their child's unique approach to development.
- Initial interview and observation of your child in your natural environments.
- Standardized, functional evaluations to look at fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Provides baseline of function and assists in establishing strength base, neuro-affirming goals.
Pediatric Occupational Therapy Intervention:
- Interoception Awareness (Kelly Mahler)
- Self Regulation Zones of Regulation (TM) curriculum
- Play and social skill support through DIR Floortime (TM)
- Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) including feeding, dressing and grooming
- Fine motor skills including upper-extremity coordination, strength and function
- Eye-hand coordination skills needed to perform play, self-care and academic activities
- Handwriting Without Tears (TM) to address specific handwriting challenges
- iLs; Integrated Listening Systems (TM)
- Vital Links Therapeutic Listening (TM)
- Functional gross motor skills needed to participate in play and self care at home, school and community based activities

A note about billing & insurance
In Touch Pediatric Therapy, PLLC, is a preferred provider for several insurance carriers. However, it is still the client's responsibility to contact their insurance prior to initiation of services to verify coverage and gain prior approval. Private pay is also accepted.
